We Need You!

Your donation will help us . . .

  • Send more black and brown children to college
  • Provide underserved families with essentials to make life easier
  • Expose young people to the workforce and build their professional skills
  • Empower young people of color to pursue their professional dreams

Why Support the AGB Foundation?

We realize we aren’t the only organization sending holiday appeals for charitable giving. What makes the AGB Foundation different is our focus on preparing deserving young people from underserved communities for success in the workforce.

Our Business Internships and College Scholarships are the main vehicles for accomplishing that work. We are building an impressive track record with those programs, having served more than 310 teenagers and awarded more than $65,000 in scholarships since 2012. But there is so much more to do.

The need in our underserved communities is tremendous

There is almost no upward mobility for young people of color growing up in poverty in Chicago. In low-income neighborhoods in Cook County, only 2.8 percent of African American children and 8.2 of Hispanics rise out of poverty, compared with 20 percent of white children, according to a study by the Opportunity Atlas. The AGB Foundation is dedicated to lifting up young people of color who otherwise are unlikely to escape this cycle.

Our foundation is young, like the people we serve. And like them, we have dreams of accomplishing great things. We want to inspire and prepare as many deserving young people to become professionals and industry leaders as possible. Won’t you help us break the cycle of poverty?

Please give as generously as you can, so that we can serve even more young people in Chicago.
